These are a few of my favorite Templates. I will post more in the future and I welcome your input. If you would like to share your favorite template please shoot me an e-mail and give all the information regarding the template. I don't want to see e-mails w/ stats and skills and no information about it. I won't post them. If you do give me good information I will post it here and credit you.
I have one thing to say as far as skills for an archer go. I think that fletching for an archer is a must. Even if you have a crafter to make the arrows for you, you will always be limited by the burden of all those premade arrows. I have Fletching specialized (I'd never do that again) and I can carry around the comps for every damage type, and I tend to cary enough comps to make at least 1,500 of each. You can't do that w/o fletching. Even if you don't start off with it, you will want it sooner or later.

BOW HUNTER ( Could be a Tank Archer)

| STR | END | CORD | QUICK | FOCUS | SELF | ||
| 40 | 30 | 100 | 100 | 50 | 10 | ||
| SPECIALIZE: Arcane Lore, bow, Melee Defense | |||||||
| TRAINED: Item Enchantment | |||||||

| This is the standard AC archer template and is best played with an Aluvian character since you will also have the max stats for your racial weapon as well as your bow. Many archers switch to their racial weapon in later life. If you feel you may want to switch to your racial weapon, make an Aluvian. Your dagger stats are already maxed if you use this. | |||||||

Kelly's Basic Archer Template
|
|||||||
| STR | END | CORD | QUICK | FOCUS | SELF | ||
| 40 | 20 | 100 | 100 | 50 (60) | 20 (10) | ||
| SPECIALIZE: Arcane Lore, bow | |||||||
| TRAINED: Fletching, Healing, Item Magic, Melee Defense | |||||||
| To Learn: Life Magic @ 16, Mana Conversion @32 or Creature Magic @ 40 | |||||||
| This is a slight modification of the Bow Hunter and reflects my style of play. With Melee Defense only trained it allows you to pick up Fletching and healing from the start and makes it much easier, but starts you off with a little less life. I feel this is a better template for somebody who is just starting out in AC. The extra 10 points can be put into Focus and this will get you an extra 3 points in your magic skills which will help out later in life, but the extra mana will give you a boost at a younger age. Kelly's Basic Archer Mk. II |
|||||||
| STR | END | CORD | QUICK | FOCUS | SELF | ||
| 40 | 30 | 100 | 60 | 70 | 30 | ||
| SPECIALIZE: Arcane Lore, bow | |||||||
| TRAINED: Fletching, Item Magic, Mana Conversion, Melee Defense | |||||||
| To Learn: Healing @7, Life @40 | |||||||
| A slight modification from my Basic Archer, the Mk. II Archer is geared a little more toward using magic. The higher Self will let you cast more than 1 buff at a time from the start, but you could take points out of it to raise your Focus if you want. | |||||||

| You really have to know what you're doing to play this template. You won't be able to wear any armour, take any damage, run away from anything and with such an low endurance you won't last long in a figh, but that's just at the start, for a long term Level 40+ character you will be very powerfull.
Here's a quick hint to help you out with burden issues. Start in Nanto East and from the training hall go straight West to a starter dungeon. Kill Drudgies until you hit level 3. Put all your points into STR at this point, then go to the mage shop in town. Start learning spells and buffing yourself until you hit level 5 or 6. You should be able to cast 3's in both schools and this will get you up in levels pretty quickly. Now that you can buff yourself with 3's go and start hunting again. The only down side is that you will have almost no life and with such low endurance you won't be able to do health/stam to mana for a while. Another option is getting Decal and the plug-in's "Arcane Knowledge" and "Insta-Og" so you can macro until you gain a few levels. The up side is that you don't have to worry about getting killed with your 5 hit points and it will greatly increase your magic skills. The down side is that you don't get much spendable experience and your bow skill will be behind your magic skills. This isn't too much of a problem and if you macro to level 20, by 25 you can have everything in balance again. This isn't really an archer template, it's an Og mage template with a bow. Your bow skill will be as good as any and your skill at life magic will help you greatly above Level 40. |

Life Archer |

| SPECIALIZE: Life, Bow, Arcane | |||||||
| TRAINED: Creature | |||||||
| To Learn: Healing@7, Item Magic@20, Fletching@32, Mana Conversion@60 | |||||||
| This is a much easier template to start out with,The healing is good to have early on because you will be able to cast health to mana and then heal yourself. I think I'd take fletching before Melee D, but that's up to you. If you have a crafter who can make the arrows for you it isn't too big of a deal. If you don't have a crafter it is a great skill for an archer to have. Also, the Creature Enchantment helps you boost your own Life skill. | |||||||

| Specialized bow lets you get a high bow skill early, fletching lets you concentrate on other skills, while still making greater arrows early. My high strength has allowed me to wear decent armor from the start. Even without bundles, I've always been able to carry enough for 2000 or so arrows. My melee defense is decent, due to the high quickness I took. At about 45 I started learning some VI's, and was buffing fully with V's. My arcane has been a burden because it's always been a little too low, I waited till 35 to string my composite due to the arcane requirement. However, after 50, arcane is no longer too low for level V items, my bow and melee both buff around 320 with VI's, which I'm using more often. This is probably about as opposite of the mage w/bow as you can get, perhaps someone who's tired of playing the constant buffing mage would prefer something like this. | |||||||

Life Archer (Mod by Anarchy of WE) |

| This is a suggestion for a modification of my Life Archer and I think it's really a good template. | STR | END | CORD | QUICK | FOCUS | SELF | |

| reasoning: -attempted to max all skills without being to extrme thus retaing playabilty. -quickness left low due to it some what caping out at 180 -and after 180 it melee will be looked after by coordination -mana c trained after criter due to the large amount of endurance for stam to mana avaiable. Name given because you are a effective mage at level 40 black fire comes from what i fell in just before i thoght of the idea:) |

Archer ( Ethlar Runsun of MT) |

| This template was sent to me by Lucais Aurilius, but was given to him by Ethlar. Many thanks to both of you! | STR | END | CORD | QUICK | FOCUS | SELF | |
| 40 | 30 | 100 | 100 | 50 | 10 | ||
| SPECIALIZE: Bow | |||||||
| TRAINED: Creature Magic, Mana Conversion, Melee Defense | |||||||
| To Learn: Healing @7, Fletching @14, Life Magic @50 | |||||||
| Looks a little odd, but Ethlar swears by it and says he's played this template since Beta.
My 2p regarding this template? Well, looks pretty good to me. At low levels you'll have to buy arrows or have a crafter to make them for you. Getting life at 50 is a bit tough, but with the skill credit quest you could get it at 45. Having cord/quick at 100 each and Melee D will help you with a lot of the lower level baddies. All in all it looks pretty good. |
